Big Horn Sheep Family

Continuing with our family theme during this pandemic as we gather only in family groups, I have some recent wildlife photographs to share with you from Wyoming. My friends and I spotted a mother with her yearling as well as male Big Horned Sheep nearby. The location was the Elk Refuge in Grand Teton National Park in Jackson Hole, a wonderful place to visit in any season.

Magical Sunset in the Grand Tetons

On my first evening in Jackson Hole, I was blessed to witness a magical sunset behind the  Grand Teton mountain range. I cannot tell you how different every sunset was during  my week in Jackson Hole. The clouds, the colors, the lack of clouds — you never know what will develop. Every minute during a sunset is also unique. Here is one of those fleeting moments during sunset behind the Grand Tetons from Cunningham’s Cabin in Grand Teton National Park.

Crew on the Wear

Classes have ended for the summer at Durham University, England, but students are making the most of this beautiful afternoon with a crew practice on the River Wear.

This scene reminded me of my daughter Caitlin’s years of rowing with the Georgetown University Crew Team on the Potomac River in Washington, D.C. Such a great sport with a wonderful history.

Bamburgh Castle Interior

Lord Armstrong did an amazing job restoring Bamburgh Castle and furnishing it with armor, paintings and antique furnishings. The Sony a7rII camera did an amazing job of photographing it in natural light too! (settings ISO 3200, 25mm lens at f/4 and 1/125 and 1/200 second, handheld)
